Porsche revealed the secrets about the new 911 Cabrio

We present the first official images along with technical data and details of the new generation 911 (991) Cabrio.

Not much time passed from the premiere of the new generation 911 (in its version of the coupe) and revealed sensational Porsche convertible.

In spite of the competition, the model boasts is a soft folding roof instead of the expected hard-top (solid). In order to reduce weight, engineers have used magnesium composites in the construction of the roof mechanism.
The new addition in the range of 911 uses the same aluminum-steel structure as in the indoor model. Time of developments in the 991 Cabriolet is longer by 100 mm wheelbase, the new electromechanical power steering and wider front track.The engine range includes two six-cylinder boxer, one with a volume of 3.4 liters and 350 hp output, followed by the second three point eight liter, dominating with 400 horsepower. Regardless of the modification, 991 Cabriolet comes with a new gearbox with seven gears.

Manufacturer failed to publish dynamic characteristics, but can we expect acceleration to 100 km / h in about 4.6 seconds (for so it makes 991 Carrera Coupe) and 4.6 seconds (for the Carrera S Coupe).
